Sustainability
At Croydon Community School, we are striving to inspire our whole school community to connect with the environment and to make a positive contribution to sustainability at school, home and beyond. We aim to reduce the ecological footprint of our school and community through adopting sustainable practices in our everyday operations and empowering our community to live more sustainable my modelling exemplary resource reduction, improved biodiversity and sustainable practices.
The Sustainability Team is working towards being accredited as a 5-star ResourceSmart school. The ResourceSmart Schools program is endorsed by Sustainability Victoria and administered by EASL (Eastern Alliance for Sustainable Learning). The stars are achieved by showing commitment to the program (Core Star) and developing programs which result in improvements in biodiversity, reductions in water and energy use and waste production.
