Specialist Program
Workshop
In the Workshop, students have an opportunity to learn lifelong hands-on skills. We run our Workshop as a real-life simulation of the real world exploring various power tools, hand tools and basic OH&S principles, all the while fostering creativity, problem solving, social skills, teamwork and having fun along the way. The best thing is that no experience is necessary to join our workspace. We accommodate for everyone from the inexperienced to the experienced. Whether a personal project or a group project, the possibilities are endless.
SPECIALIST PROGRAM
ENGINEERING
The Engineering space is a dynamic and future-focused environment where students explore the intersection of creativity, design, and technology. It’s a place for hands-on learning, experimentation, and innovation—where ideas are brought to life and curiosity is encouraged.
Students can engage with robotics to design and program intelligent systems, prototype mechanical solutions using LEGO engineering kits, and create detailed 3D models with SketchUp CAD software. Our HO scale model trains offer opportunities to investigate transport systems and infrastructure, while 3D printing allows students to transform digital designs into physical prototypes. Precision design is supported through our Cricut cutting machines and the Cricut Design Space, enabling students to produce custom products.
The space also features the GraviTrax marble run system, which introduces students to principles of motion, energy, and structural design in a highly interactive format. These tools and technologies are just the beginning—students are encouraged to explore beyond just these, contributing their own ideas and shaping the space as a hub for innovation.
Whether designing, building, coding, or creating, students in the Engineering space develop the skills and confidence to become problem solvers, critical thinkers, and imaginative creators.

IT ROOM
The IT Room is a place of great productivity and learning. Students engage in a range of programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Lua, Python, C++) for many purposes (building websites, applications, games, etc.). Students also come in to make the most of the powerful computing processes to do video and image editing/creating through the Adobe suite of tools, sketch-up and Blender.
The Wednesday IT Group have developed the following games in 2025. Click below to play.

MUSIC
In the Music space, students can explore all sorts of music to express themselves and be creative. Students can sing and learn to play many different instruments, with separate rehearsal spaces for students to safely dive in and try new things. Bands are often formed so that our musicians can jam and play songs together. We often run larger groups as well, such as uke groups and African drumming circles. Songwriting and composing original music are encouraged, and students can make use of our recording studio to create beats, record and edit tracks, and release their own music. Our regular Music Nights provide performance opportunities for our music crew to share their talents and creative achievements. The supported use of music can provide a multitude of therapeutic benefits for young people, and our music program aims to help students achieve diverse personal, wellbeing, educational, as well as musical goals.

SPECIALIST PROGRAM
Hospitality
Students dive into the dynamic world of culinary arts and nutrition. It’s a hands-on learning environment where they experiment with ingredients, master cooking techniques, and explore the science behind food preparation. From designing healthy meals to understanding food safety and sustainability, students develop practical life skills while fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Whether they’re baking, sautéing, or analysing food labels, every task connects classroom theory to real-world application, and often ends with something delicious.
Specialist Program
media
In Media, students immerse themselves in filmmaking and photography, gaining practical experience in all aspects of planning and production. From screenwriting and pre-production through to on-set filming and post-production editing, students all crew on each other’s projects as directors, cinematographers, and sound recordists. As well as hands-on filmmaking, students analyse the theory behind narrative structure, dialogue, genre, and shot composition to refine their media literacy and screenwriting skills.
SPECIALIST PROGRAM
science
Science is a space for students to explore the world using a range of technologies including microscopes, circuitry, chemistry materials, and a range of data gathering equipment. We are fortunate to have a significant number of materials on hand for students who wish to explore concepts in physical sciences in a safe manner. Students are encouraged to ask why, to consider the method of their experimentation, and to collect data in an intentional manner. Small groups are supported within their advisories to explore common interest areas. Incursions from experts in Indigenous science, the natural world, and technical disciplines complement our outlearning opportunities off-campus.
